Our Acheivements

Implemented a building capacity program for its personnel, by organizing training session both theoretical and on the field, to acquire a new generation of young and skilled staff.

Established a database to support strategic planning, determine and follow-up priorities, provide NCCM with state of the art technologies in line with international and regional developments in the field of children's rights, and to manage data according to the follow-up and evaluation tools. The efforts resulted in having a wide data base on NCCM targeted groups and helped produce international reports of high quality as required by it obligations towards the international instruments ratified by Egypt such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

NCCM achievements echoed on the regional and international levels and were met with great appreciation, for example The Euro- Medchild prize was awarded to the FGM Free Village Model, implemented by NCCM, as being the best practice in childhood matters among Mediterranean, Arab and North African countries.

NCCM participated in the formulation of the Arab action plan for the rights of the child. Egypt was the first Arab country to formulate the action plan for a world fit for children, and on the regional level the Egyptian expertise was a decisive element in producing the Arab action plan. At the African level, NCCM organized and hosted the First conference on the African Child in 2001 and the second conference on the African child – mid-term review: Africa Fit for children in 2007.

NCCM also organized and hosted three MENA Regional consultation on violence against children (2005-2006-2007) thus strongly cooperating in the preparation of the UN study on violence against children.
