VCU aims to promote the values of volunteerism amongst youth.

6. Achievements

  1. Attracting volunteers: Establish a database for volunteers
  2. Providing opportunities to:
    • Providing 260 volunteering opportunities to the following programs: Child Helpline, Egyptian Aflatoun, Family Justice and Caravans for Social Development through IT.
  3. Capacity Building:
    • For NCCM staff:
      • Organized 3 workshops to train staff on volunteers management
      • Organized a workshop in collaboration with Child Helpline International (CHI) on how to manage volunteers in the helpline
    • For Volunteers:
      • Organized 2 workshops to train and develop calibers for volunteers in the Child Helpline and Egyptian Aflatoun.
  4. Research:
    • Compiled an analytical   study on volunteerism in Egypt
  5. International Cooperation Participation in:
    • The International Forum for the UN Volunteers Program in Bonn Jan 2008
    • The International Conference for CHI, where we presented our experience in volunteers' management in NCCM’s child helpline. Amman- Jordan.
