Currently the program is in the final stage of the selection process of candidate-NGOs. The selected instances will receive a grant to implement their activities.
One of the most important accomplishments of the Council related to this subject is its continued success in working with and for the benefit of disadvantaged children.
Their efforts culminated in the approval of the Children's Act 126 of 2008. In this document Ambassador Moushira Khattab, the Secretary-General of the Council, ordered the training of child protection committees as well as the development of sub-regulations of this new Children's Act within the legal component.
Today, these tasks have almost been completed, which may be considered as one of the most important successes of the project to date.
